Music Medals are accredited assessments and teaching resources from ABRSM. They focus on the flexible needs of instrumental teachers and their pupils. Music Medals provide goals and tangible rewards for progress and are aimed primarily at young learners, beginners and those taught in small groups.

There are five progressive levels – Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

This scheme recognises the importance of the teacher in bpth the learning and the assessment processes. There are no external examiners involved and the initial assessment is made by the teacher in their role as Teacher-Assessor.
